U.S. Order Update – Tariff Relief Is Coming, But We Need a Little More Time

To our U.S. customers,

I’m writing this to provide an important update about the current status of U.S. orders, recent developments in U.S.-China trade policy, and what BlockHeadz is doing to ensure your orders are delivered as soon as possible, without passing on unfair costs to you.

The Situation So Far

In recent weeks, the U.S. government implemented an unexpected 124–145% tariff on all imports from China, including products like ours. This had a serious and immediate impact on all international businesses, especially small, creator-driven brands like BlockHeadz.

As a result, we made the difficult decision to hold all U.S. orders at our factory rather than ship them under these extreme tariffs. We simply weren’t willing to ask customers to pay more than double our product prices.

New Agreement: Tariff Dropped from 145% to 30%

Today, we finally have positive news to share.

Following international trade talks in Geneva, the United States and China have reached a new agreement that reduces the tariff rate from 145% to 30%, effective May 14.

This is a major improvement and brings the cost of fulfilling U.S. orders back into a range that is far more manageable. While a 30% tariff is still high, it’s something we can now plan around and it means the wait is nearly over for those of you who’ve placed orders.

What Happens Now

We’re currently working through the next steps internally and with our partners to ensure that orders can move forward with as little disruption as possible.

Here’s what we’re doing:

  • All U.S. orders are still being held at our production facility for now.
  • We are actively finalizing alternative shipping solutions and fulfillment options to avoid future disruptions.
  • Our goal is to have the full situation resolved before the end of the month.
  • We will not charge you extra to cover this new 30% tariff, we’re absorbing the impact as best we can.

Why We Made This Choice

We want to be transparent: holding orders wasn’t a decision we made lightly.

But shipping products at a 145% tariff rate would have meant raising prices dramatically, something we weren’t comfortable doing to our customers. We care deeply about delivering value, quality, and fairness, and we know how important trust is in every purchase you make with us.

This entire situation has been incredibly difficult behind the scenes. We’ve had multiple creator drops in progress, including McNasty x BlockHeadz and Bleb x BlockHeadz, (that have all been shipped out now, if you have not had a notification of shipment please reach out to our support team at contact@blockheadz.store and we will be happy to help) and we’ve worked around the clock to keep things moving without compromising customer experience.

What You Can Expect

We’ll be sending another update very soon, confirming shipping dates and outlining any final details once everything is locked in. If your order is currently on hold, there’s no action required from you, your item is safe, and we’ll fulfill it as soon as the process is clear and tariffs are stabilized.

We expect normal shipping to resume before the end of the month.
